Freedom Park
Description
The Freedom Park is inspired by the Hyde Park and the Kensington Park of London. It is located on the Seshadri Road, Gandhi Nagar, Bengaluru. It is spread over a vast landscape of 21 acres. The park has been designed with a purpose of serving as a platform for various public meetings, protests, rallies.
History
Originally this place was used to prison those against the British Rule in India. Thus it was thought to be a symbol of Freedom. It was inaugurated by the Home Minister and Chief Minister of Karnataka. It was opened to the public in November 2008.

Important Information
- The freedom park welcomes the visitors on all the days of the week between 5 PM and 8 PM and 5 AM and 8 AM.
The entrance fee for children and handicapped is Rs 35 whereas it is Rs 55 for adults. The entry fee for overseas visitors is even higher, i.e. Rs 120. There are two entry gates of the Park.
